What this site is

Pickleball Explained explains the rules and first skills of pickleball for people who are just starting: the underhand serve, the two-bounce rule, the kitchen and the three number score. Our free Pickleball Rules Cheat Sheet puts the essentials on two printable pages, and our free level quiz helps players who are already rallying decide what to practice next.

Who runs it

The site is published by Costa Launch LLC, a small company based in The Woodlands, Texas. Our emails come from Fabio, who runs the company. Costa Launch LLC also makes Pickleball Command, a visual course for recreational doubles players, which we mention on this site and disclose as our own product.

How we write our guides

  • Rules come from the current USA Pickleball Official Rulebook (2026 edition), summarized in our own words. Where a rule is a provisional option, such as rally scoring, we say so.
  • We do not invent statistics, and we do not promise rating jumps or wins.
  • We keep the language plain and the steps short enough to try at your next session.
